catching up...

g. marie is on the mend. feeling lots, lots better now. phew. here's a picture from this morning...her color AND her smile are slowly returning to normal. praise god. while she was sick yesterday we spent the day laying around watching praise baby and care bear cartoons. she is quite the fan of t.v. we don't have cable so being able to lay around and watch videos was a treat for her and quite therapeutic i believe. however we did squeeze some exercisin' in this morning and here's her new trick...
although she doesn't know what to do when she gets into this position so she just cries until we help her or she falls back onto her tummy. she'll be crawling in no time and i'm encouraging it. she is getting so frustrated just sittin' there so i'm doing everything i can to help her learn.

now this is just the sweetest thing. she got some rubber duckies for christmas and loves them. when i put them in her tub, she wraps those little arms around them and pulls them in close.

but they are slippery little suckers, so when one gets loose she tries her hardest to reach for it only to let the others go as well. so then begins the process of gathering them up again. it really is quite sweet to see her want to hold them close. my sweet baby.

now on the the holidays....like i said below, we got to spend lots of time with family over the last week. here's just a few pictures from the days past...

georgia and her cousin, winn. he's 6 weeks older than she is. no doubt they will have lots of fun the in coming years being so close in age.

here is georgia giving some lovin' to those sweet grandmas...

and getting some lovin' from her Chief.

she got plenty from her other grandpa too but unfortunately i didn't have the camera on hand. she also got to spend some time with her grandma's too...

georgia & memaw
georgia & grandma bessie

and finally...the highlight of the trip i think for harold.

harold and my dad spent their fair share of time together playing the Wii. Boxing was the game of choice and my studly husband did everything he could to try and beat my dad at boxing (he even downloaded a tutorial on how to use the handles while my dad was at work). he won 2 of 3, but i'm still pulling for chief :)

hope everyone had a wonderful holiday. here's to a very good 2009. love from bham.
